With deepest sadness, we want all
who knew Julie Guinn to know that she lost her battle
with bone cancer on Thursday, January 7th. Julie was
Vic's manager for several years and her daughters, Ashley &
Brandi both played for Texas Lightning.
Our thoughts and prayers are with
Julie, Joel, Ashley and Brandi.

The Texas Lightning Youth Soccer Club was established
for the specific purpose of building a youth soccer program whose
goals are to achieve a developmental program in which youth soccer
players can train and compete at various levels of competition and
have the opportunities to consistently progress and achieve state,
regional, national and collegiate soccer accomplishments.
Realization of these goals must be accomplished within the
proper framework of building character, self-esteem, confidence
and sportsmanship within the youth athlete.
Achievement of
these objectives can only be reached through the strength of a
qualified coaching staff whose relationship with the player must
be of the highest ethical and moral standards.
Texas
Lightning Youth Soccer Club has helped to place numerous players
on state and Regional Olympic Developmental Teams and has produced
five National Team players. The Club has also helped place over
300 players into universities and colleges through soccer
scholarships. Some of those colleges are Duke University, Rhodes
College, Texas A & M University, West Point Academy,
University of Southern California, Radford University, University
of South Carolina, Louisiana State University, The Naval Academy,
Brown University and many more! |
